It is not always clear and can sound hollow. Might spend more next time. The sound quality is the main issue with this phone. This was however the cheapest 2 line cordless phone around (all others around twice as much).
Good phone w all features, except does not have a speakerphone function on the handset (only on the base unit). Excellent voice quality and built. Hence 4 stars.
Great battery life, headset jack, caller ID. This is a good phone. I bought this and another expandable handset and they were easy to sync.
I'd like the ring tone to be quieter. It's a very good phone. It has good sound quality. :) The only thing that I don't love about it, is the handset ring tone is either loud or off. The phone is pretty good. I like the weight of it when I hold it. I like that I can get an additional handset later on.
Other than that, I love it. I did have one small quark. I have purchased the base unit and extension again because they both work very well. I called the company I purchase it from and they gave me the simple solution TAKE OFF THE BACK COVER and it will fit for the few seconds it needs to sync then use the charger unit that came with the extension. I first purchased this phone and an extension phone 8 years ago and just started having problems this year. Because I have never had ANY problems with either of them I didn't even look into another brand. the extension phone doesn't fit in the cradle of the base unit so I was having problems getting it to sync or register.
